BRETT ADCOCK RAISES 700 MILLION FOR A MYSTERY AI DEVICE NOBODY HAS SEEN YET — INVESTORS DO NOT SEEM TO CARE

BRETT ADCOCK RAISES 700 MILLION FOR A MYSTERY AI DEVICE NOBODY HAS SEEN YET — INVESTORS DO NOT SEEM TO CARE Hark, the AI hardware and software startup founded by serial entrepreneur Brett Adcock, has raised $700 million in a Series A round at a $6 billion valuation. Adcock previously founded electric aircraft company Archer Aviation and humanoid robotics firm Figure.AI. He launched Hark in late 2025 using $100 million of his own money and has said almost nothing about what the company is actually building. What is known: Hark is developing proprietary multimodal AI models and custom hardware aimed at creating a universal interface between humans and machines, combining speech, vision, and persistent memory. Think of it as an AI assistant that knows everything about you and interacts through purpose-built devices rather than a phone app. The company has promised to release its first models in summer 2026, with dedicated hardware devices to follow. The investor list is extraordinary given the level of secrecy. Nvidia, AMD Ventures, Intel Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, ARK Invest, and Parkway Venture Capital all wrote checks. That coalition represents the hardware and enterprise AI establishment making a coordinated bet on a product they cannot fully evaluate yet. Either Adcock is building something genuinely transformative, or this is the most expensive leap of faith in AI’s short history.
