Beyond Siri, iOS 27 brings speed gains across the board. Apps launch 30 percent faster. Photos appear in the library 70 percent faster after shooting. AirDrop transfers run 80 percent faster. The interface has been refined throughout with what Apple is calling Liquid Glass updates. Apple spent three years watching OpenAI and Google redefine what a software assistant could do while Siri sat largely frozen. The gap became a punchline. The iOS 27 public beta is the beginning of Apple’s answer to that gap.
