CHATGPT MOVES INTO MICROSOFT POWERPOINT. YOUR DECK WILL NEVER BE THE SAME.
OpenAI and Microsoft have quietly shipped one of the most consequential AI integrations in the history of office software. ChatGPT is now embedded directly inside Microsoft PowerPoint as a sidebar, and it does exactly what every person who has ever dreaded making a deck has been waiting for: it builds the presentation from a prompt. Feed it a document, an image, a research file, or just a plain text description of what you need. It generates the slides, structures the narrative, and formats the output. You review and refine.
The integration is available now in beta for users across Business, Enterprise, Education, Teacher, K-12, Free, Go, Pro, and Plus plans — essentially every paying tier and a substantial portion of the free user base. Microsoft strengthens the case for staying inside the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. OpenAI gets distribution at a scale no direct product launch could match.
This follows earlier ChatGPT integrations for Excel and Google Sheets, which let users run analysis and generate formulas via chat. PowerPoint is a different beast. It is where decisions get presented, funding gets approved, and careers get made or ended. The fact that an AI can now draft that presentation end to end is a shift companies will be forced to reckon with. Their employees already know it. The question now is whether management does.
