FIGURE AI BUILDS ONE HUMANOID ROBOT EVERY HOUR — THE INDUSTRY HAS NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT
Figure AI’s manufacturing team at its BotQ facility has hit a production rate that seemed impossible twelve months ago: one Figure 03 humanoid robot per hour, every hour, off the assembly line. The company went from one robot per day to one per hour in under 120 days, a 24-times improvement in throughput driven by dedicated assembly lines, custom manufacturing software across more than 150 workstations, and tighter supplier quality controls.
The numbers behind the ramp are credible. First-pass yields now exceed 80 percent. More than 9,000 actuators have been produced across ten product variants. The company has already shipped over 350 units. At full capacity, BotQ’s first-generation line can produce 12,000 Figure 03 robots per year, with a stated goal of 100,000 over four years.
The engineering milestone is accompanied by a capability upgrade. Figure’s System 0 AI model now includes perception-conditioned whole-body control, allowing the robots to navigate stairs, ramps, and uneven terrain using onboard stereo cameras without any task-specific programming or a human in the loop.
Humanoid robots have been a punchline for years because of how slowly they could be built. Figure just turned the joke on everyone who doubted the timeline.
